Updated: LT Evacuated After Smoke Bomb Prank

Pablo Sanchez, 19, of Hodgkins was arrested today at Lyons Township High School's North Campus after lighting off a smoke bomb in the study hall room of the building.
Sanchez was later charged with reckless conduct and criminal damage to property.
"He admitted he thought it would be cool," said Sgt. Miles Odom, a spokesman for the La Grange Police Department.

Police said Sanchez lit off the smoke bomb at about 9:39 a.m. which caused the school to evacuate the building for about 45 minutes on Monday. Classes were disrupted during the incident and a new class schedule was put into place for the remainder of the day.
Police said no one was injured at the school and that no one else is believed to have been involved in the incident.

Sanchez has been released to his parents at this time.
School officials were unavailable for comment on Monday night.
