Man Trespasses At La Grange Restaurant: Cops

In another case, a worker was seen striking a nursing home resident, local police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police have handled cases involving trespassing, battery, road rage, aggravated DUI, theft and fraud. Here is information from the latest reports:

Trespassing

  • A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of criminal trespassing. Police said the incident was at Cold Stone Creamery, 76 S. La Grange Road.

  • A contracted employee was seen striking a resident May 25 at Meadowbrook La Grange nursing home, 339 Ninth Ave. No complaint was signed.

Road rage

  • A road rage incident in another town resulted in a suspect contacting and threatening a resident in the 800 block of South La Grange Road. Police received the report May 16.

Aggravated DUI

  • Joseph F. Miller, 63, of Evergreen Park, was arrested about 3 p.m. May 12 on charges of aggravated DUI, aggravated driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane, having no car insurance and improper backing. Police did not say where he was stopped.

Theft

  • Prescription medication was reported stolen May 11 from an unattended room at Meadowbrook La Grange nursing home, 339 Ninth Ave.

Fraud

  • A phone was reported stolen May 16 from a resident at Bella Terra nursing home, 4735 Willow Springs Road. It was used to transfer money fraudulently. Most of the money was refunded to the resident. The total loss is unknown.
