Medicaid Reform Falsehoods

False information about Medicaid reform is being disseminated on this platform. One example concerns the CBO estimate that 8 million people will lose coverage. The CBO has clarified this number by stating that of that number 4.8 million will lose coverage because they refuse to accept the very minimal requirement of working or volunteering 20 hours per month. Another 1.8 million are illegal migrants not entitled to Medicaid. And another 1.4 million receive other coverage primarily through Obamacare. And finally the most fevered lie is that 800 billion dollars are being cut when in fact Medicaid spending will increase by 200 billion dollars over the next 10 years
