Nazareth Academy to Host 5K this Spring

Nazareth Academy’s Alumni Association will host its spring event, the Roadrunner Dash 5k Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. on April 1, 2017. The race is open to the public.

The race will begin and end at Nazareth Academy, 1209 W. Ogden Avenue, La Grange Park, IL, and the route
will take participants through the neighborhood of La Grange Park. According to Alumni Association member
and Dash chair, Kaitlan Fron ’10, “Naz is family and the Roadrunner Dash has become a platform for Alumni
families, current students and their families and the community Nazareth serves, to come together for a fun
family-centered event. This will be a great morning for participants of any age to challenge each other or to
reconnect with familiar faces...definitely a great day to be a Roadrunner!”

Registration for the race has already begun. Racers can sign up through I Am Athlete: www.iamathlete.com/events/road... dash17. The registration fees are $35 for adults and $20 for children under 13. All participants are guaranteed a Roadrunner Dash 5k shirt if registered by March 22, 2017.

An early bird discount is now underway until 11:59 p.m. on February 14, 2017 by entering the code RDRNR17
at checkout. No refunds.

Pre-Race packet pick-up information is forthcoming. Check-in and race-day registration will be available from 7 - 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1. Participants will have until 10 a.m. to complete the race. The Roadrunner Dash will be held rain or shine.

As this is an event open to families, children are welcome. Parents with strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. No dogs will be allowed. Refreshments will be available immediately following the race.
Awards for all age brackets will be presented at 9:30 a.m. Medals will be awarded to the top males and females in the following categories: 13 & under and 13 & over, as well as a prize awarded to the overall top finisher.
