Riverside Police Issue 52 Citations in Thanksgiving Enforcement
There were 13 speeding citations.

Riverside, IL - The Riverside Police Department conducted enforcement from Nov. 16-29 to remind drivers to buckle up and not drive impaired.
During the mobilization, The Riverside Police Department issued 52 citations.
- 13 speeding citations
- 9 seat belt citations
- 8 uninsured motorists
- 3 drug arrests
- 1 suspended/revoked licenses
- 18 other violations
Riverside personnel also arrested three drunken drivers offenders.

“Our officers are out all year long,” said Sgt. Jeff Miller in a statement. ”If you or your passengers are caught not wearing a seat belt, day or night, you will be cited for the safety violation,”
The law enforcement mobilization was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and was part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaigns.
