Riverside Tobacco Stores Pass Compliance Checks
Three gas stations that were checked did not sell tobacco products to minors.

The Riverside Police Department conducted compliance checks at local stores to make sure they are following state laws and local ordinances on the sale of tobacco products to minors.
Officer Brian Greenenwald and a volunteer minor visited 7-11, Marathon and Amstar gas stations Nov. 17, and none of the store clerks sold tobacco products to the minor, according to Riverside police.
“This grant-funded program is in place to make sure that our retailers continue doing the right thing and preventing underage tobacco use,” said Officer Brian Greenenwald in a statement. “I am happy to report that our retailers have started this grant cycle with 100 percent compliance once again.”
