Rotary Club of La Grange Recognizes Charity Race Sponsors
The gathering will take place Feb. 11 at Palmers Place.

La Grange, IL – The Rotary Club of La Grange will recognize corporate sponsors of its annual Rotary Run 3.14 Pie race at a Club gathering Feb. 11 at Palmers Place in La Grange.
The 3.14-mile race held in La Grange on Thanksgiving morning raises funds for Club community and international service programs.

Funds raised have helped to support scholarships for Lyons Township High School students and Mental Health First Aid, a program to bring groundbreaking public education to La Grange and surrounding communities.
Club President, Randy King, will thank sponsors in attendance for their support of the event, noting that their generosity and commitment to advancing mental health in and around La Grange was a visible example of Rotary’s principle motto: Service above Self. King will also announce that Club contributions to the Rotary Foundation were made in the names of several lead sponsors of the race, qualifying them as Paul Harris Fellows.

Established in 1957, the Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Representatives in attendance were presented with a Paul Harris Fellow certificate and pin.
The Rotary Club of La Grange is proud to be a 100 percent contributing club to the Rotary Foundation, and is routinely recognized as a top club for per capita contributions. The Club supports local and international charitable initiatives through volunteer service and community fundraising efforts.
