Top-Paid Lyons Township High Teachers, Officials

LA GRANGE, IL – Brian Waterman, superintendent of Lyons Township High School since 2021, was the top-paid employee among the school's teachers and administrators in the 2024-25 school year.

Waterman made $262,254, about $8,000 more than the previous year.

The second-highest was the longtime director of curriculum and instruction, Scott Eggerding, at $220,440. He retired at the end of last school year.

Principal Jennifer Tyrrell was sixth on the list, the same as last year, according to a list the school posted online this week.

Math teacher Bryan Hamilton ranked seventh, receiving $188,393. He was the highest-paid teacher for at least four years in a row. Hamilton, who has since retired, coached multiple sports.

Publishing the list of top salaries has been known to generate much debate in local Facebook comments, as happened last year. Some question whether Patch should post such information.

The following list includes the top 25 highest salaries. The school has nearly 300 teachers and administrators.
