Violent Crime Down in La Grange: FBI Report
The FBI has released the 2014 Unified Crime Report.

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which shows the number of violent crimes reported in La Grange in 2014 was nearly halved from 2013.
According to the report, La Grange saw eight violent crimes in 2014, while in 2013, the village had 15 reports of violent crimes.

Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

- 2 rapes
- 3 robberies
- 3 aggravated assaults
- 162 property crimes
- 22 burglaries
- 138 reports of larceny/theft
Nationally, violent crime decreased last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
