Western Springs Police Reports: Arrest Warrant, Controlled Substance

Roderick L. Ephraim, 34 of the 9300 block of S. Greenwood in Chicago, was arrested Dec. 1 and charged for having an outstanding traffic-related warrant at the Western Springs Police Department, 740 Hillgrove Ave., according to Western Springs police.

William H. Szafranski, 25 of the 800 block of West Busse Avenue in Mount Prospect, was arrested Dec. 2 and charged with one count of unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, according to Western Springs police. Police were called around 7:11 p.m. to a pharmacy in the 4700 block of Gilbert Avenue for reports of Szafranski, who unlawfully obtained a controlled substance with a fraudulent prescription.
