Western Springs Police Reports: Drug Possession, Driving without a License

The information in the following reports is courtesy of the Western Springs Police Department.

Ariel A. Ramirez, 20 of the 1800 block of Skoville Avenue in Berwyn, was stopped Jan. 16 for speeding over posted limit at Ogden and Gilbert avenues. A records check confirmed defendant was driving without a license.

An officer found three people sleeping inside of a parked car at 5:26 a.m. Jan. 19 in the 5500 block of Wolf Road. After speaking with the people, the officer smelled a strong odor of cannabis coming from the car.

Giovanni Ocampo, 18 of the 1100 block of Bohland Avenue in Bellwood, was in the front passenger seat and was found to be in possession of a baggy containing two tablets of a controlled substance. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Victor M. Galvin, 20 of the 1000 block of Suffolk Avenue in Westchester, was in the driver’s seat, and he was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected cannabis. He was arrested and issued a local ordinance citation for possession of cannabis.

Desantiago H. Lozano, 22 of the 1100 block of Newcastle Avenue in Westchester, was in a rear passenger seat, and he was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected cannabis. He was arrested and issued a local ordinance citation of possession of cannabis.
