Western Springs Police Reports: DUI, Theft, Property Damage

Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information through Sept. 28.

Someone reportedly damaged a bicycle tire that was left unattended at a bike rack between 8 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Sept. 21 at McClure Junior High, according to Western Springs police.

Jose Pastor, 20, of the 5900 block of South California Avenue in Chicago, was stopped Sept. 22 for speeding over posted limit at 55th Street and Interstate 294, according to Western Springs police. A records check confirmed he was driving with a suspended license.

Shaun McDougall, 37 of the 10500 block of South 88th Court in Palos Hills, was arrested Sept. 22 at the Western Springs Police Department after an investigation confirmed his alleged theft, according to Western Springs police. The theft was originally reported to the police on Feb. 3 and took place while McDougall was an employee at PNC Bank, located at 40 47th St. in Western Springs. McDougall reportedly stole more than $300 between Nov. 14, 2014, to Jan. 10.

Jose A. Paniagua, 45 of 59th Street in Downers Grove, was stopped Sept. 27 for speeding over posted limit at Interstate 294 and 55th Street, according to Western Springs police. While speaking with Paniagua, the arresting officer smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the car, and Paniagua reportedly had glassy eyes. He was offered and performed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunken driving.
