Disorderly conduct charge for throwing property into the street, 73-year-old trespasses after ban from business: Lake Forest Police Blotter

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police and Lake County court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Circuit Clerk of Courts. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Gregory R. Sheeler, 55, of the 1700 block of Wimbledon Court, Lake Forest, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 17 and charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery after police were dispatched to a 911 call to his home and determined there was probable cause to arrest him.
Aleksandar Radovanovic, 30, of the 500 block of East Main Street, Barrington, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 19 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a two car traffic crash with injuries near the intersection of Route 60 and Route 41. Officers found Radovanovic's car in the woods off the road. He and the other driver were both taken to Lake Forest Hospital, and Radovanovic was charged with DUI due to his behavior while interacting with officers, who also issued him citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and disobeying a traffic control device.

Damon Hill, 19, of the 12900 block of West Peacock Road, Beach Park, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 and charged with burglary, criminal damage of more than $500, retail theft and resisting arrest after police were called to a report of a break-in at the Sunset Foods, 825 S. Waukegan Road. Officers found someone had used a rock to get inside. Police searched the surrounding area and found Hill, who reportedly matched the description of the burglary and was carrying items from the business. Police said he is being investigated by several other local agencies.
Arturo Alaniz-Morales, 40, of the 2000 block of Hickory Street, Waukegan, was arrested on Aug. 21 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after police were dispatched to a report of a car stopped on Route 41 at Old Elm Road. They found Alaniz-Morales slumped over the wheel and noticed he appeared to be intoxicated. Officers also cited him with illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol and impeding traffic/driving under the minimum speed limit.

Latravian T. Enoch, 25, of the 800 block of Pondview Court, Schaumburg, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver. Officers witnessed him swerving into oncoming lanes and failing to stop at a stop sign, and he reportedly appeared impaired during a traffic stop. He was also issued citations for operating and uninsured motor vehicle, disregarding a stop sign, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, improper lane usage and improper turn at intersection.
Riyad Masri, 43, of the 400 block of Harrison Street, Chicago, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Aug. 25 and charged with assault after officers were called to a report of a person walking on the train tracks near Route 60 and Academy Road. Police investigated and determined there was probable cause to determine he had assaulted someone off of the tracks.
William A. Haberland, 73, of the 400 block of College Avenue, Lake Forest, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 and charged with criminal trespassing after police were called to a report that he was refusing to leave the Starbucks, 672 Western Ave. Haberland had already been banned from the store in March 2022, and when officers arrived, they determined there was probable cause to issue him a trespassing citation.
Robert S. Reda, 60, of the 100 block of Washington Circle, Lake Forest, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 and charged with disorderly conduct after police were called to a report of a disturbance near the intersection of Wisconsin and Oakwood avenues. They arrived to find Reda throwing unspecified property into the street. After interviewing a witness, police figured there was enough evidence to arrest him.
