LAKE FOREST, IL — A routine inspection of the McClory Bike Bath pedestrian bridge over Westleigh Road is expected yo impact traffic in Lake Forest next week, according to city officials.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on May 27, the city's professional bridge inspection consultant Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates will block one lane of traffic to conduct the inspection. The inspection will help to identify wear to the bridge, ensure structural integrity and prioritize maintenance in order to support public safety and long-term investment in community assets.

Inspectors will work from a bucket truck positioned beneath the bridge, which will require intermittent single-lane closures on Westleigh Road. Traffic will remain open in both direction and work is expected to only last one day.
