Car Crashes Onto Lake Bluff Golf Course After Police Chase
Two suspects remained on the loose Wednesday evening after a police pursuit culminated in a golf course crash and lockdowns in Lake Bluff.

LAKE BLUFF, IL — Four people fleeing police crashed a stolen SUV on the Lake Bluff Golf Course on Wednesday evening.
The occupants of a Kia Sportage ran away after it became disabled on the 10th hole of the golf course at 355 W. Washington Ave.
Officers from multiple area departments were on scene, and two juveniles who fled the stolen vehicle were taken into custody, police said. They were both charged with misdemeanors and released to family members.

Waukegan police began pursuing the vehicle near where a person was shot in the art shortly before 5:30 p.m., but they stopped chasing once it entered North Chicago.
Officers from North Chicago continued chasing it down Green Bay Road, with the car later crashing on the golf course after North Chicago police called off the chase.

Shortly after 7 p.m., authorities issued an urgent alert announcing two people were still at large and believed to be on foot, following up with an update about a half-hour later adding the location.
Lake Bluff Park District Executive Director John Bealer told WLS the golf course, rec center and nearby school were locked down in connection with the incident.
"I understand that the individuals in the car may have been involved in a pretty serious incident before they came here and they were fleeing from the police," Bealer said.
The police activity was over by 8:45 p.m., according to a follow-up alert.
