ComEd Construction Near Lake Forest Bridge To Resume On Wednesday
City officials said drivers traveling near the bridge on Deerpath Road can expect intermittent lane closures but not during peak hours.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Lake Forest area drivers whose travels take them near the bridge on Deerpath Road may need to make some slight adjustments beginning on Wednesday as construction work in the area is scheduled to resume.
The city announced on Monday that the ComEd construction project near the bridge will resume but officials have asked the utility to avoid going down to one lane during peak hours between 7-9 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.
City officials wrote in a social media post on Monday that the work is expected to cause intermitted lane closures.

The post said that a flagger will be directing traffic while ComEd works on the bridge abutments. Officials announced earlier this year that the pedestrian bridge on Deerpath Road would need to be replaced to increase capacity and support maintenance vehicles and equipment.
The work is expected to be completed this fall, the city said.
