Cyclist, 36, Dies After Being Struck By Car On Route 41: Coroner
The Beach Park man was pronounced dead in the North Chicago crash. The driver remained on scene, authorities said.

NORTH CHICAGO, IL — A 36-year-old man died Thursday from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in North Chicago, authorities said.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police and fire personnel were dispatched to Route 41 north of the Casimer Pulaski Drive overpass for a report of a cyclist injured in a car crash.
Kyle Summy, of Beach Park, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.

The driver of the car that struck him remained at the scene, and North Chicago police called in Lake County's Major Crash Assistance Team to help with the investigation.

According to the coroner's office, preliminary results of an autopsy conducted Friday indicate that Summy died as a result of blunt force injuries from the crash.
