Byron Smith, 53, of Lake Forest was arrested March 22 for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, according to Deerfield Police reports.  After receiving a call about an intoxicated driver, police located Smith driving northbound on Waukegan Road south of Deerfield High School, according to the report. Police observed Smith driving below the posted 35-mile-per-hour speed limited and weaving within his lane.  Once Police stopped Smith, a strong odor of alcohol was noticed. He refused field sobriety tests and a breath test telling police to "just arrest" him, according to the report.
