Gorton Drama Studio at Gorton Center is excited to announce the launch of Corporate Improv & Acting, a dynamic new course designed to boost communication, creativity, and confidence through improv and acting-based techniques. Led by Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio, this four-week class helps professionals strengthen workplace performance and collaboration – all while having fun.

Classes will be held on Wednesdays from November 19 through December 17 (no class Thanksgiving week) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gorton Center. The course fee is $200. A second class will be offered in January 2026.

Drawing from his background at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and his experience teaching Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, and Acting for Film and TV, Kruse has created a program tailored for professionals in every field. Participants will learn to think on their feet, speak with confidence, and work more effectively with others. Through a blend of Second City–style improv and Method Acting exercises, Kruse helps participants develop presence, adaptability, and creativity – essential tools for navigating today’s fast-paced workplace.

“No acting experience is necessary,” says Kruse. “Improv is really about listening, connecting, and reacting in the moment. Those same skills translate directly into better leadership, clearer communication, and stronger teamwork.”

Kruse has coached executives, doctors, lawyers, and sales teams across major industries, using theater-based methods to unlock authentic communication and collaboration. His work has been featured in professional settings nationwide.
