Grace Methodist Church of Lake Bluff Presents Community Concerts
The community is invited to two upcoming musical performances at Grace Methodist Church in Lake Bluff.
Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff invites the community to share in the joy of music through two upcoming concerts.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, the church presents Steven Alltop, music director of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra and a host of other groups. Alltop will perform his favorite works with soprano Josephine Stoppelenburg.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, March 17, the church presents David Schrader, one of the most well thought of organists in the country.

These concerts are free to the community, as they are a gift by a few endowments in honor of long time members, said church music director Joseph Agnew, who was recently reappointed after being gone for seven years.
Agnew has been working to bring special music event back to the church, which founded the Village of Lake Bluff 125 years ago, and the community at-large.

Agnew, a professional tubist with an extensive performing biography that includes everything from Olivia Newton John to Daniel Barenboim, has also established an in-house brass group.
Grace Methodist also has a wonderful Kimball pipe organ listed on several historic registers.
Next month, the church will host a performance of Vivaldi's "Four Season."
