Intoxicated Man Enters Wrong Home, Fights Arresting Officers: Police
Police say he had earlier been cut off at a restaurant after he was found in its kitchen and basement

Police responded to an apartment in the 500 block of North Western Avenue at 6 p.m. July 27 after a call from a resident who had been asleep on his couch when an unknown man entered the home. An officer saw Tyler L. Berman, 22, of the 140 block of Glendale Road in Buffalo Grove, leaving and tried to detain him.
Berman fought with the officer as well as two more officers who arrived, police said. Officers learned that he had been drinking at a nearby restaurant until he was cut off after being found in the kitchen and basement of the restaurant.
Berman was taken to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and held overnight for observation, then released to police. He was charged with criminal trespass to land, criminal trespass to residence, disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer and aggravated battery to a peace officer. Bond ws set at $25,000 and he was given an Aug. 11 court date.
