Lake Forest Mayoral Candidate Forum Moved To Gorton Community Center

The League of Women Voters of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area is hosting the forum on March 15. All three candidates have been invited.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Lake Forest residents are invited to attend a forum for Lake Forest mayoral candidates this month at the Gorton Community Center.

The League of Women Voters of Lake Forest /Lake Bluff Area is hosting the forum at7:30 p.m. on March 15.

The forum was shifted in order to accommodate the schedules of the candidates, according to organizers. It had earlier been announced for a day later at Lake Forest High School.

All three candidates for Lake Forest mayor have been invited to take part:

  • Randy Tack, a former 3rd Ward alderman, is running on the Lake Forest Caucus party slate.
  • Prue Beidler, a former 1st Ward alderman, is running as an independent candidate.
  • Paul Hamann, a retired electrical engineer who now trades securities, is also running as an independent candidate.

Organizers said all of the candidates have said they plan to attend, but one has yet to sign off on the rules — a requirement for participation.
