Lake Forest Music Festival's Second Edition To Feature Tequila, Tacos

The second annual Lake Forest Music Festival is set for Saturday in the parking lot behind City Hall.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The second annual Lake Forest Music Festival is set to take place Saturday with two stages of live music, kids activities and showcase dishes from several chefs.

The volunteer-run festival, created by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation, runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the parking lot behind City Hall at 220 E. Deerpath Road.

This year's headliners are the country duo Maddie & Tae, winners of the 2022 CMT Music Award for group/duo video of the year for their song "Woman You Got."

"There is no better food companion to tequila than tacos — and this year's festival theme does not disappoint," according to festival organizers. "At least four chefs, of all types, offer up their signature dishes which can be consumed in comfort in the seating area."

All tickets include daylong in-and-out privileges at the rain-or-shine events. No coolers, large bags or pets are allowed.

Tickets for those 21 and over are $40 ahead of the event and $50 the day of the festival. VIP passes with an "all you can drink" souvenir cup are $150. Prices for those aged 6 to 20 are $20 before Saturday, rising to $25 on the day of the event. Other ticket packages, including family passes, are available online.

All proceeds after expenses go toward supporting the city's parks department programming, according to organizers.
