Mary Margaret Pawl, age 85 of Lake Forest, Illinois, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2023. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Dr. Ronald P. Pawl, and her devoted children and grandchildren.
Mary grew up in Chicago, Illinois with her parents Charles and Marie Rohner and sister Charlene Roberts. She graduated from Mundelein College with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Mary and Ron were married on July 11, 1959, and started what was to become a large family they liked to refer to as “The Troops.”
Mary had a beautiful, generous spirit and approached everyday life with grace, patience and impeccable attention to all things important to her and her loved ones. Family was a priority to Mary. She provided a loving home for her six children, and dedicated her time and energy to always making it a welcoming place for all who gathered. Her children and grandchildren will forever have wonderful memories of all the holidays, birthdays, and other celebrations they shared with Mary and the whole family together. She put her heart and soul into making sure every aspect was perfect and personal.
