Letter to the Editor: Lenzini for Assessor
Retiring Shields Township Assessor Endorses Trish Lenzini for Assessor

As I leave office, I am confident in the ability Trish Lenzini will bring to the position of Assessor of Shields Township. Trish has twelve years of experience in Moraine Township being named Chief Deputy in 2005. She has had the hands on education that is needed to administer an assessment jurisdiction.Trish understands the magnitude of the position and the responsibility she has to the property owners of Shields Township to deliver fair and uniform assessments to each property.
Trish understands the importance of maintaining an up-to-date data system to assure all home owners are receiving every tax exemption for which they are entitled.Trish is fluent in the use of the CAMA system (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal) that is used throughout Lake County for property valuation. She is knowledgeable in building Crystal Statistical Reports and the use of Microsoft Office. She has dealt with the development of evidence for Lake County Board of Review appeals and understands how to assist property owners with their valuation concerns. She is familiar with the Illinios Property Tax Code, Illinios Property Tax Appeal Board and the cases and other legislative and court actions that affect the manner in which property is valued.
In short, Trish is well prepared to assume the position of Shields Township Assessor.
