Letter to the Editor: Rutherford Supports Brown for Shields Trustee
Illinois state treasurer takes sides in Shields Township race.
April 9th is right around the corner and I want to remind you how important local elections are to our communities. That is why I am asking you to get out and vote for Shields Reform Team member Bill Brown for Shields Township Trustee. Bill and I share a commitment to fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
As a professional with 20 years of relevant experience in non-profit, for-profit and the public sector, Bill brings leadership to Shields Township.
Bill first moved to Lake Forest at the age of five, and is a graduate of Lake Forest High School. If elected he has promised to:
* Hold the line on property taxes
* Look for ways to streamline Shields Township services to make them more
efficient and more accessible
* Not raise salaries of elected officials
* Work to make the food pantry more accessible to those in need
As the State Treasurer, I know how important it is to have an efficient government. Bill can do that for you.
