LFHS Senior Excels At Entrepreneurship, Helps Those With Disabilities
The Lake Forest High School 12th grader is CEO one of the country's top five business incubator groups last year.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Richard Benson, who nominated his grandson Brennan, a senior at Lake Forest High School.
Star local student’s name
Brennan
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Brennan is a top student academically at LFHS with a plethora of AP courses and top 5% Standardized test scores, but what differentiates him is his extracurricular contributions. He played soccer on varsity for 4 years and was awarded the silver boot award by the team.
He has founded a group of students to work with students with disabilities to help them in sports and socialization (his older sister has Downs Syndrome). He serves the community in summer camp counseling with disabled youth.
He is the CEO of his Entrepreneurial Class Company (SimplyNav) that was selected as the winner of the LFLB pitch night (like shark tank!) in 2022 and was one of 5 teams chosen for the NATIONAL entrepreneurial pitch competition coming in second in 2023.
His efforts were rewarded with early acceptance at Notre Dame where he expects to study business while in a community with focus on social support that he values.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Compassionate, kind, grateful, and focused on hard work to make a difference in all his endeavors, be it academics, support of others, or team sports.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Brennan!
