'Red Carpet on the Green' to Benefit Local Schools

Lake Forest shopping event will showcase new fashions and help support the Spirit of 67 Foundation.

The latest women’s fashions will be showcased by 16 Lake Forest apparel shops as part of an inaugural Red Carpet on the Green event. 

Red Carpet on the Green will run from 1-2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 under a tent in Market Square. It will be held rain or shine.

The free event will kick off a three-day benefit from Sept. 12-14, when participating area stores will donate 10 percent of their sales proceeds to School District 67’s Spirit of 67 Foundation. Shoppers simply have to mention the event when they make their purchases.

Market House will participate with a special offer for lunch on Sept. 12. Diners who mention the Spirit of 67 when they make reservations will have 10 percent of their bills donated to the Spirit of 67 Foundation. 

Participating stores are Alixandra Collection, Blue Mercury, EJ Mirage, Forest Bootery, Izze & Jo, J McLaughlin, Kiddles, Lake Forest Resale Shop, Lake Forest Shop, Lillie Alexander, The Mustard Seed, OSKA, Sara Campbell, Talbots, Three Sisters and TSE.

This event is hosted by The Market Square Merchants, The City of Lake Forest, Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Make It Better Magazine and Stellar Productions.

The Spirit of 67 Foundation funds grants that provide enriching educational and cultural experiences to the students of Lake Forest School District 67.
