Your Kid's Art Could Market Lake Forest's July 4th Celebration
Enter your child's patriotic artwork by May 3 for a chance to have it featured in Lake Forest's 4th of July festivities.
The annual Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks July 4th Art Contest is open to all Lake Forest and Lake Bluff children in kindergarten through eighth-grade.
One child's drawing will be chosen to represent the July 4th festival on all advertising, T-shirts, posters, banners and more. In addition, the winner will receive a $100 Market Square gift certificate. There will be six runners-up and an honorable mention list.
Ground rules:
- Artists should focus on one or more of the following themes: 4th of July in Lake Forest, festivals, family and/or fireworks.
- Artists should use four colors or less and blocks of color instead of shading. Fine line and pencil drawings do not translate well for this contest.
- Artists should include their name, age, school name and phone number on the back of the entry.
- All entries must be submitted to the artist’s school office or to the Lake Forest Recreation Department, 400 Hastings Rd., Lake Forest, IL., 60045, by May 3.
Winners and runners up will be announced the week of May 5.
