1 Found Dead Following Hawthorn Woods Fire

The fire broke out at the home in the 0 to 100 block of Rosewood Drive on Saturday afternoon.

HAWTHORN WOODS, IL — One person was found amid the debris of a home destroyed by a blaze over the weekend in Hawthorn Woods.

The fire broke out at the home in the 0 to 100 block of Rosewood Drive on Sunday afternoon, and the body was found Sunday as firefighters performed recovery operations, Lake Zurich Fire Department Chief David Pilgard told the Daily Herald. Pilgard said a family member was not found after the blaze was put out.

All other family members were accounted for, according to the article. The Lake County Coroner's Office was called to the scene of the blaze to identify the fire.
