2nd Lake Co. Life Time To Open Friday
The long-awaited Life Time Fitness in Lake Zurich will officially open its doors to members at 11 a.m. Friday.

LAKE ZURICH, IL β Lake County will get its second Life Time Fitness when the athletic club opens its newest 121,000-square-foot facility Friday in Lake Zurich.
The Life Time, which is the 13th Life Time to open in the state, will officially open its doors to members at 11 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from Lake Zurich Mayor Tom Poynton and Life Time leaders. The Lake Zurich Life Time, which has been in the works for more than five years, was built on a property formerly occupied by Hackney's restaurant.
The three-story facility has indoor and outdoor pools, three dedicated pickleball courts; seven workout studios; and more than 300 pieces of cardio, strength and functional training equipment. Like other Life Time fitness facilities in the Chicago area, the Lake Zurich Life Time, at 400 N. Rand Road, will also have a a fast-casual LifeCafe restaurant, a full-service LifeSpa and a childcare area.

Currently, there is one other Life Time Fitness in Lake County, which is located in Vernon Hills.
The fitness club also has locations in Algonquin, Northbrook, Oak Brook, Orland Park, Romeoville, Burr Ridge, Schaumburg and Warrenville. Life Time opened its first Chicago location when it debuted its River North Life Time.
