Lake Zurich village officials are discussing a change to the liquor code that would allow alcohol in village parks, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Currently, alcohol is only permitted on park property during special events like the Taste of the Towns. However, officials are considering altering the laws to make way for a Cooper Fiddle Distillery to open in town. Police Chief Pat Finlon told the newspaper that village attorneys are working on changes to the code, but a date to when those changes would be made has not been set.
