• Woman dead, another critically injured in house fire near Spring Grove (dailyherald.com) — Lake Zurich firefighters were among several area crews called to a deadly house fire near Spring Grove that killed an 83-year-old woman and critically injured a 55-year-old woman. Officials say the home was fully engulfed when crews arrived, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by Lake County authorities and fire officials.
