The Chili Contest Winner Is...
The Assembly American Bar & Cafe in Hoffman Estates competed in a chili contest for not for profit Partners for Progress, NFP and WON!
Congratulations to the Assembly American Bar & Café in Hoffman Estates for winning the 14th Annual Partners for Progress Chili Cook-Off. The Assembly was one of 4 restaurants that participated in the not for profits virtual chili cook-off fundraiser over the weekend. The 4 restaurants that donated their chili for the cook-off were The Assembly American Bar & Café, Beelow’s Steakhouse, Dorfler’s Meat Market and Smokey Joel’s Chili. The “take home” chili cook-off included a pint of chili from each of the venues, along with a corn bread mix, crackers, and spoons.
“This was a great community event for the whole family. I especially enjoyed the chili contest where you sampled various chili and got to vote for your favorite. They were all so good! We tasted some great food while helping to support Partners for Progress. What a win win situation.” said Christina Matheo of Libertyville.
This is the 2nd year the Assembly participated in the chili cook-off. In 2019 the Assembly also participated in Partners for Progress Burger Throw Down where they were also a winner. The Assembly has been featured on Chicago’s Best and their chili is ranked #2 on Trip Advisor for having the best chili in the northern suburbs.
