Grayslake Police Look for Missing Sex Offender

Howard Sebring walked away from his home on June 30.

Grayslake police believe a convicted sex offender who cut off his home-monitoring bracelet and disappeared is suicidal but not a threat to the public.

Howard M. Sebring, 57, left his home in the 300 block of West Main Street in Hainesville on June 30.

Sebring was last seen that afternoon walking west on Route 134 toward the railroad tracks, Police Chief Phil Perlini told the Daily Herald. He’s 6-foot tall, 150 pounds, and was wearing a dark button-down work shirt and blue jeans. Perlini said Sebring may harm himself.
