Lake Zurich Advances to State Championship

The Lake Zurich Bears knocked off Glenbard West to return to the class 7A state championship for the fourth time in eight years, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Lake Zurich won 16-7 led by quarterback Noah Allgood on the road in Glen Ellyn Saturday afternoon, the newspaper reported. Allgood threw for 136 yards and rushed for 51 yards.

Lake Zurich, 12-1, will face Mt. Carmel, 12-1, in the 7A title game at 4 p.m. at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, the Daily Herald reported.
