Lake Zurich Cop Accused of Causing Alcohol-Related Crash Won't Lose Job

A Lake Zurich police officer has been given a βlast chance employment agreementβ after being accused of causing an alcohol-related car crash while carrying a loaded police department weapon, The Daily Herald reports.
Vincent TeRonde didnβt lose his job over the incident that occurred last September. Instead, the agreement states he must pass all random drug and alcohol tests as requested by the village and can be fired for anything that violates the contractβs terms, the Daily Herald reports. TeRondeβs employment deal lasts through Sept. 21, 2015.Β
