Lake Zurich Coronavirus Update: May 14
s of Wednesday, there have been 65 to 60 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus reported in the village of limits of Lake Zurich.
LAKE ZURICH, IL — As of Wednesday, there have been 65 to 60 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus reported in the village of limits of Lake Zurich, according to the Lake County Department of Health website. In unincorporated Lake Zurich, there have been 5 to 9 cases.
Throughout the county, there have been 5,779 confirmed cases and 189 deaths, according to the data. The county's department of health does not provide data on the residency of those who have died of COVID-19.
Of those deaths, 121 are residents of long-term care facilities in the county.

The breakdown of cases in Lake County by age are as follows:
- 0-20: 410 cases
- 20-39: 1,919 cases
- 40-59: 2,172 cases
- 60-79: 963 cases
- 80+: 325 cases
State officials on Wednesday announced 1,677 new cases of the coronavirus and 192 additional deaths — the highest single-day death toll yet — bringing the statewide total to 84,698 confirmed infections and 3,792 known deaths.
