Lake Zurich Boys Cross Country came in fourth at the IHSA state meet held in Peoria on Saturday. Lake Zurich had two medalists: Alex Milner - 16th, and Trevor Kuehr - 20th.
"From where we came, I am sure nobody had us pegged for a 4th place finish, which shows the resiliency, determination, and self-belief that these young men have embraced," writes Coach JB Hanson.
On the Lake Zurich Cross Country website, Hanson also shares the inpiring story of Alex Milner who was the slowest runner on the team as a freshman.

"Alex is fearless, and most importantly, fearless in the face of success. It sounds simple, and I never really knew what it meant to be 'fearless' until I coached Alex," wrote Hanson.
