Police Blotter: Burglarized Safe; Canoe, Fire Pits Stolen

BURGLARY                                      

A complainant reported someone broke an exterior window and gained access to his office and removed his safe in the 1300 block of Ensell Road in Lake Zurich, Nov. 5.  The estimated loss is valued at $750.  This matter is pending investigation.  

THEFT                                                                          

Police received a report that someone removed a canoe and fire pits at the Oakwood Beach Club in Lake Zurich, Nov. 3  The estimated loss is valued at $1,300.  This matter is pending investigation.  

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY                                                           

A resident reported an unknown subject(s) damaged plants and Halloween decorations in the 1100 block of Brittany Road in Lake Zurich, Nov. 5.  The estimated damage is valued at $40.00.  This matter is pending investigation. 

A person reported an unknown subject(s) damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the 1500 block of Eddy Lane in Lake Zurich, Nov. 5.  The estimated damage is unknown at this time.  This matter is pending investigation. 

TRAFFIC ARREST (DUI)                            

Aaron J. Kauffman, 29, who resides at 221 Fiore Parkway in Vernon Hills, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in the 400 block of Ela Road in Lake Zurich, at 1:19 a.m., Nov. 4.     Kauffman was charged with Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under the Influence.  Kauffman was issued a Waukegan court date of Dec. 10 and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

TRAFFIC ARREST (DWLS)                         

Timothy J. Noel, 42, who resides at 1445 West Churchill Court in Mundelein  was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at S. Old Rand Road in Lake Zurich, 3:55 p.m., Nov. 4.  Noel was charged with No Valid Registration and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Noel was issued a Mundelein court date of Dec. 7 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

David C. Hungnesss, 22, who resides at 42737 North Tiffany Road in Antioch, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended in the 800 block of South Old Rand Road in Lake Zurich, Nov. 3.  Hungness was charged with Failure to Signal When Required, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Hungness was issued a Mundelein court date of Dec. 7 and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
