Solar Panels Coming to Lake Zurich Middle School South

Lake Zurich Middle School South is one of 33 schools in Illinois to receive solar panels from the state, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The school received an $8,000 grant for the panels to teach students about generating energy from the sun. An online data collection website will help the students track the amount of energy each panel produces, the newspaper reports. The solar panels are meant to be more educational than for energy saving purposes.
