Village Of Lake Zurich: Lake Zurich Adopts Balanced 2022 Budget With Focus On Local Infrastructure Investments

The Lake Zurich Village Board approved aΒ balanced fiscal year 2022 budgetΒ with a small $11,000 operating surplus for the General Fund at its December 6 meeting. The $59.9 millions budget reflects the recovery of revenues back to pre-pandemic levels and the Village's approach to adopting aΒ fiscally responsible budgetΒ that maintains Lake Zurich'sΒ top-rated AAA bond rating status. The 2022 budget totals $59.9 million to fund a full-service municipality with 157 full-time employees at Police and Fire, Public Works, Community Development, Parks and Recreation, Finance, and Administration. With an eye on sustaining progress towards strategic goals, nearly $11 million in Village infrastructure, municipal buildings, land improvements, and capital equipment is budgeted for 2022.
