5 Things to Do in Lemont this Week

Coming up this week:

  • Volunteers are needed to help assemble donated spring cleaning supplies for those in need. If you'd like to help, meet at the Lemont Police Department at 6 p.m. Monday. Volunteers can bring donations of items and reusable shopping bags.
  • The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board of Education meets at 6 p.m. Monday. View the agenda.
  • A Preschool Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lemont Library. Visit with all the local area preschools to learn what each has to offer your child.
  • The Village of Lemont's Earth Day Heritage Quarries Restoration Project will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers are needed to help restore five acres of natural areas within the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area. The goal of this project is to restore plant and animal diversity.
  • The Lemont Lions Club will host its annual Spring Community Dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lemont VFW Hall 5819 at All proceeds to benefit local community services.
