Fall Recycling Day Planned Saturday In Lemont

The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Metra lot in downtown Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — If you're doing a little fall cleaning and have things to recycle, you can head out to the Lemont Environmental Advisory Commission's fall household recycling event on Saturday.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Metra lot in downtown Lemont. The event is intended for "household" recycling and is not intended for commercial use, according to the Village.

The event offers: motor oil recycling, document disposal, electronics recycling, prescription medication collection, CFL and fluorescent light bulb collection, battery collection, glasses/hearing aids, printer inks, cell phones, bicycle recycling, and food collection for the food pantries.

There will also be a tree giveaway program, and 50 one-gallon size oak trees will be passed out for free on a first-come, first-serve basis.
