Lemont Chamber Invites Community to Dinner and Game Show

Chamber and Little Mountain Community Theater team up for unique fundraiser Feb. 27.

Anyone growing tired of the cold and looking for something entertaining to do close to home is invited to come on down to Lemont’s Name That Price Community Dinner and Game Show in late February.

Sponsored by the Lemont Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Little Mountain Community Theatre NFP, the dinner and game show will take place Feb. 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Crystal Grand Banquets, 12416 Archer Ave. in Lemont. Tickets are $50 each with tables of 10 selling for $450. Go to www.lemontchamber.com or call 630-257-5997 to purchase tickets. A portion of the proceeds from the event go to the Lemont Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.

From the moment guests arrive, they will be engaged in the fun of the chamber’s version of The Price Is Right, with many attendees having the opportunity to participate in the game show and win prizes donated by local businesses.

Chamber Executive Director Glenn Pasiewicz said the group has put a new spin on its annual event for the past couple of years to offer adults throughout the community a different kind of night out without traveling far from home. Last year the chamber held Day at the Derby, an interactive murder mystery dinner theater also in partnership with LMCT.

“We’re hoping that people throughout the community will get a group of co-workers, neighbors, family members, or friends together for a night that includes dinner, drinks, music, and plenty of game show antics,” he said. “Last year’s murder mystery was well-attended and a lot of fun. We’re looking to build on that by offering another unique night out.”

LMCT will be providing the entertainment portion of the evening by hosting the game show.

Sandy Doebert, president of the LMCT Board of Directors, said the organization is excited to be partnering with the chamber once again. The group was founded in late 2013 by Lemont residents and experienced theatre professionals with a mission to educate individuals of all ages and abilities, to entertain audiences, and to enrich Lemont and the surrounding communities with the presence of live theatre.

“We are thrilled to have been asked by the chamber of commerce to partner with them once again for their annual event,” Doebert said. “We hope that our production experience will add to the evening creating a fun night for everyone.”
