LEMONT, IL — Election Day is upon us, and all eyes are turned to the results of the presidential race of Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump. If you didn't get a chance to early vote, polls open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Besides the presidential race, there are also several referenda and races locally and state-wide.

There is only one day left of early voting, on Monday. Lemont Township Hall, 1115 Warner Ave., will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Registering to vote

Not sure if you’re registered to vote, or need to change your address? You can find out here.

If you want to register in person, you can do so at driver’s license facilities, your county clerk’s office, city or village offices, township offices or public libraries. Call ahead to ensure that a registrar is available at locations. If you register to vote in person, you’ll need two forms of ID, and at least one must show your current address.

Election Day

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. If you are already in line to vote when the polls close, you can still vote — so don't leave!
