Dale F. Hennebry, 74, a lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away on May 15, 2024.

LEMONT, IL — Dale F. Hennebry, 74, a lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away on May 15, 2024. Born and raised in Lemont, Dale's life was marked by his dedication to his community and his love for the great outdoors. He graduated from Joliet Catholic High School and later earned his degree from Lewis University.
Dale devoted over three decades of his career to St. Patrick Parish, where he was a beloved and integral part of the community. Additionally, he was a familiar and friendly face at Nick’s Tavern in Lemont, where he worked for over 35 years. His commitment to these roles showcased his dedication and service to the people around him.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Dale found joy and peace in nature, often spending his free time enjoying these pursuits. He was also known for his handiness and willingness to help anyone in need, always ready with a tool or a solution to lend a hand.

As a devoted father, Dale supported his children wholeheartedly, encouraging them to pursue various activities and always being their biggest cheerleader. In recent years, Dale found immense joy in watching his grandchildren participate in their activities. Whether it was a sporting event, a school play, or any other pursuit, he was there with a proud smile and a heart full of love.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ray A. and Bernetta E. Hennebry, as well as his two aunts, Loretta G. and Rosarita A. Hennebry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Valerie Hennebry; his three sons, Tim (Cheryl) Hennebry, Ryan Hennebry (Alex Sweitzer), and Matt (Emily) Hennebry; and his cherished grandchildren, Drew, Allyson, Nathan, Logan, and Nora. Dale also leaves behind his siblings, Dennis (Mary Ellen) Hennebry and Dolorita (Bill) Gordon, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on May 20, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., located at 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Funeral services will take place on May 21, beginning at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
