Obituary: Diana Yu

LEMONT, IL — Diana Yu, nee Yean, age 62, formerly of Lemont, died Aug. 12, 2021.

Preceded by her father, Yean Yang Shang, and her beloved pets. Diana is survived by her mother, Yean Ching Yao; her loving husband, Grant, happily married for 37 years; her devoted children, Howard (Justine) Yu and Heather (Tom) King; her adored grandchildren, Connor and Cayden; her cherished siblings, Davout and Ko-Fu; and her nieces and nephews.

Diana was always willing to go out of her way to help out someone. She always put others before herself. She channeled her helpful spirit as a nurse. Her wicked sense of humor was always the life of the party. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. Memorial prayer services will also take place on Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont.
