Six Lemont Student-Athletes Make College Commitments

The student-athletes include seniors Brett Tucker, Judah Heeg, Joey Scott, Nora Miller, Amanda Vileikis and Kenzie Purgatorio.

LEMONT, IL — Six Lemont High School student-athletes have announced their commitments to compete collegiately beginning in Fall 2026, LHS shared in a news release. Student-atheletes include wrestler Judah Heeg (California Baptist University), women’s volleyball player Nora Miller (North Central College), softball player Kenzie Purgatorio (University of South Carolina Beaufort), men’s golfer Joey Scott (University of Iowa), baseball player Brett Tucker (Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville), and women’s swimmer Amanda Vileikis (Vanderbilt University).

Judah Heeg – Career Highlights

  • Has earned one varsity letter wrestling for head coach Egan Berta
  • Will serve as a team captain as a senior in 2026
  • Is the defending IHSA Class 2A State Champion at 190 pounds
  • Posted a 41-3 record in his first season at Lemont in 2025, racking up 17 wins by fall and 20 by technical fall
  • Won his weight class at both the Rex Whitlach Invitational and Floyd Bee Memorial
  • Earned runner-up finishes at the South Suburban Conference Meet and the IHSA Regional
  • Closed his season on an eight-match win streak
  • Won an IHSA Sectional title after picking up two technical falls, one pin, and one victory by decision
  • Captured the IHSA State Championship with two technical falls, a major decision, and a sudden victory in the title bout
  • Lemont finished with a 13-12 record in dual meets and was the runner-up at the SSC Blue Meet
  • Has posted an 86-33 record in his prep career, including stints at Stillwater (Okla.) High School and Simley (Minn.) High School
  • Was ranked No. 10 in Minnesota as a sophomore at Simley, and was a regional runner-up, sectional champion, and state qualifier at 160 pounds
  • Helped Simley to the 2024 Minnesota State High School League Class AA State Championship
  • Has competed in both Freestyle and Greco Roman at national USA Wrestling events
  • Honor Roll student
  • Will wrestle for head coach Derek Moore at California Baptist University, an NCAA Division I institution that is located in Riverside, California, and is a wrestling-only member of the Big 12 Conference.

Nora Miller – Career Highlights

  • Two-time all-conference performer who earned three varsity letters playing for head coach Chris Zogata
  • Libero and defensive specialist who helped Lemont to a composite 81-32 record in three seasons, as well as three South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles and two IHSA Regional crowns
  • Averaged 2.36 digs and 0.47 aces per game over 235 games
  • Totaled 555 digs, twice leading the team in digs and digs per game
  • Added 111 service aces, placing third on the team in that category as a junior and senior
  • Successfully handled nearly 90 percent of more than 1,000 service receptions over her career
  • Repeated as an All-SSC Blue performer as a senior in 2025
  • Posted career highs in digs (253), digs per game (2.94), service aces (41), and service aces per game (0.48)
  • Led Lemont with 522 service receptions, handling 90.4 percent successfully
  • Cited with all-tourney honors at Glenbard East
  • Lemont finished with a 25-13 record, including a spotless 13-0 record in SSC play, won an IHSA Regional title, and finished as the sectional runner-up
  • Made her Lemont varsity debut as a sophomore in 2023
  • Plays club volleyball for Club Fusion
  • High Honor Roll and National Honor Society student
  • Will play for head coach Ray Gooden at North Central College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Naperville, and a member of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin.

Kenzie Purgatorio – Career Highlights

  • Expected to be a significant contributor in the outfield as a senior
  • Made her varsity debut as a junior in 2025
  • Batted .310 with 14 runs batted in and 25 runs scored while appearing in 30 games
  • Slugged .603, as 10 of her 18 hits went for extra bases
  • Led the team with seven triples and posted an OPS of .969
  • Lemont went 27-11, won the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division with an 18-1 league record, captured an IHSA Regional title, and finished as the sectional runner-up
  • Plays travel softball for the Chicago Cheetahs
  • High Honor Roll student
  • Will play for head coach Codee Yeske at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, an NCAA Division II institution that is located in Hardeeville, South Carolina, and is a member of the Peach Belt Conference.

Joey Scott – Career Highlights

  • Earned four varsity letters, including one for head coach Justin Weidler and three for former coach Mark Hollatz
  • Four-time all-conference, all-regional, and all-sectional performer who is one of the state’s top golfers in the Class of 2026
  • Became just the second player in program history to compete in four IHSA State Finals
  • Did not finish lower than fifth individually in regional or sectional competition, posting two first-place finishes and three runner-up finishes in those meets
  • Helped Lemont to four South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles, two IHSA Regional crowns, one IHSA Sectional championship, and three team appearances in IHSA State Finals competition
  • Ranks first on the program’s all-time scoring list with a career 9-hole average of 36.6
  • Is the only two-time all-state performer in program history
  • Posted a team-leading and career-best 9-hole scoring average of 34.6 as a senior in 2025
  • Tied for 22nd at the 2025 IHSA Class 2A State Finals with a +9 151 (78-73)
  • Earned all-sectional honors after tying for fifth with a +3 73
  • Helped Lemont to an IHSA Regional title after shooting a -5 66 and winning medalist honors
  • Was the SSC Blue individual runner-up as Lemont won its 20th straight SSC Blue crown
  • Repeated as an all-state performer as a junior in 2024
  • Tied for seventh at the 2024 IHSA Class 2A State Finals with a +5 147 (72-75), as Lemont placed eighth as a team
  • Lemont established a new program best by finishing as the 2023 IHSA Class 2A State Runner-Up
  • Shot a +17 159 (82-77) to tie for 44th in his state finals debut as Lemont placed fourth in the team standings
  • Won the 2025 Illinois Junior Golf Association Player of the Year Championship and the 2025 Mid-American Junior Golf Tour Tournament

Brett Tucker – Career Highlights

  • Has earned two varsity letters playing for head coach Brian Storako
  • Two-year starter at shortstop who will serve as a team captain in 2026
  • Is a .259 career hitter with four home runs, 50 runs batted in, 60 runs scored, and 50 walks
  • Has helped Lemont to a composite 61-18-1 record, two South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles, two IHSA Regional crowns, and a state runner-up finish
  • Earned All-SSC Blue accolades as a junior in 2025
  • Batted .293 and ranked second on the team with two home runs and 29 RBIs
  • Also was second on the squad with 25 walks, third with eight hit-by-pitches, and fourth with 29 hits
  • Posted a .470 on-base percentage and an .874 OPS
  • Lemont went 30-8-1, earned a share of the SSC Blue title, captured an IHSA Regional crown, and finished as the sectional runner-up
  • Joined the starting line-up as a sophomore in 2024
  • It went on a terrific postseason run, winning IHSA Regional, IHSA Sectional and IHSA Super-Sectional titles, and finishing as the 2024 IHSA Class 3A State Runner-Up
  • Also earned two varsity letters each in boys’ soccer and football
  • Plays travel baseball for Cangelosi Sparks and has earned multiple all-tournament honors
  • High Honor Roll student
  • Will play for head coach Sean Lyons at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, an NCAA Division I institution that is located in Edwardsville, and is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.

Amanda Vileikis – Career Highlights

  • Talented swimmer whose times rank her among the top 5 percent of approximately 8,600 swimmers in her age group
  • National team swimmer for FMC Aquatics since her eighth grade year
  • Has represented Team Illinois in breaststroke events
  • Two-time state champion in her age group in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events
  • Four-time national qualifier who finished among the top 15 nationally in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events
  • Also has competed against some of the best swimmers in the world in TYR Pro Series and World Cup events
  • Holds FMC Aquatics records in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events
  • Has posted personal best times (all short course yards) of 29.16 in the 50 breast, 1:02.88 in the 100 breast, 2:17.78 in the 200 breast, 2:07.84 in the 200 individual medley, and 4:30.08 in the 400 individual medley
  • Swam one high school season and earned team MVP honors as a freshman in 2022
  • Helped Lemont to the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division title
  • Won the SSC title in the 100 breaststroke and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team that set school and pool records
  • High Honor Roll student
  • Will swim for head coach Jeremy Organ at Vanderbilt University, an NCAA Division I institution that is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a member of the Southeastern Conference.
