Sneak First Sips of Pollyanna Brews at Tap House Grill

Get the first tastes of the fruits of Pollyanna Craft Brewery's labor May 23–24.

Lemont residents eager to taste the suds of incoming Pollyanna Craft Brewery can get a sneak peek this weekend, as two of the brand's beers are poured in a bar for the first time ever.

Tap House Grill, 1243 State St., will offer two of the newcomer's brews May 23–24. Imperial Black Saison and Avidity IPA will be available, and representatives from Pollyanna will be around providing samples from 5 to 9 p.m.

What can you expect?

Pollyanna founders describe the beers.

Imperial Black Saison
"Farmhouse Ale with an Urban Approach"
10.1% ABV
Pollyanna combined powers with Ten Ninety for this one, brewed with an assortment of highly kilned and black roasted malts to accent a subtle hop spiciness, and the unique fruitiness of Chicago's own Omega Yeast Labs proprietary Saison yeast strain.

Avidity IPA
"Balanced IPA with a Sturdy Malt Backbone"
7.4% ABV
"With ardent desire comes painstaking patience." The first beer Pollyanna will release represents the extreme eagerness, enthusiasm, and balance that must be maintained while sorting through construction timelines, attorney fees, and hop contracts. This balanced IPA bursts forward with a blend of juicy citruses, tropical fruits, and pine resins from five different hops, including Galaxy and Simeone.
